Learn how to imagine and create your own shadow puppets! Mr. Damon will guide you through the steps of making puppets from simple materials in this advanced shadow puppet workshop for older children and teens.
Here's how to get started:
Step 1: Watch the Welcome Video from Mr. Damon
Visit https://vimeo.com/424558966/8440378b59 to watch a 30-second video to get a sneak peek at a finished shadow puppet.
Step 2: Gather Your Supplies
You'll need a side-view (profile) picture or drawing of the animal or character you want to create, preferably on thick paper, such as cardstock or a panel from a cereal box. You'll also need an extra sheet of thick paper, scissors, tape, a thumbtack, paper fasteners (or string or a bread tie with wire inside), rods (or chopsticks, pencils, or straws), and markers or decorations.
