Forsyth County Public Library is excited to host Dr. Ashley Baker, PsyD, for a reading from her gripping novel, The Ashes of Us. The novel navigates themes of trauma, paternal love, and the devastating price of retribution.
Sometimes it takes a father to even the score. Dr. David McCall falls into a moral abyss when his daughter askes him to take the life of the man who brutally assualted her. As a respected clinical pathologist, he has the means, knowledge, and skill to grant her only wish but it may cost him his soul and destroy the only relationship that truly matters to him.
Dr. Baker is a clinical psychologist (PsyD) and author of two psychological suspense novels, The Ashes of Us and The Furious Others, who lives in Forsyth County. After the event, Dr. Baker will be available to sign copies of her books.
