Sign-up is easy!

  • If you participated in previous reading challenges at FCPL, log into your Beanstack(opens in a new tab) account and select the Unearth a Story challenge for your age group.
  • To create a new account, click "Register an Individual or Family."
  • You can register multiple family members–children or adults–once logged in to your account by clicking your name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and then, "Add a Reader."
  • If you would like to log reading on the app, download the Beanstack Tracker app on your device.

Five steps for Summer Reading Challenge: 1. Visit Beanstack website. 2. Sign in or create an account. 3. Click the log reading button. 4. Log minutes or log books. 5. Earn Points

Earning points is easy!

Track your reading and earn points using Beanstack.

  • 1 minute of reading = 1 point
  • 1 book read = 20 points (best for preschoolers)
  • 1 activity = 10 points

Earn a ticket for our grand prize drawings for every 500 points you earn during the active challenge period (May 22–August 5, 2026).

DATES TO REMEMBER

  • Summer Reading Challenge: May 22–August 5, 2026
  • Last day to apply tickets: Wednesday, August 5, 2026
  • Grand prize drawings: Thursday, August 6, 2026
  • Last day to pick up prizes: Wednesday, August 19, 2026
  • Redraw for unclaimed grand prizes: Thursday, August 20, 2026

EVERYONE EARNS PRIZES!

Students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 will earn buttons as they read and complete activities.

Students in Grade 9–12 and adults will earn stickers as they read and complete activities.

Participants from Age 0–Grade 12 will receive a free prize book when they complete the challenge at 500 points.

For completing the challenge at 500 points, adults will receive a Friends of the Library Bookstore Coupon for one free book up to $3 in value.

GRAND PRIZE DRAWINGS

For every 500 points earned, you get a ticket to enter the Grand Prize Drawings.

The Grand Prize Drawings will take place on Thursday, August 6, 2026.
