Did you know drones can be applied in the agriculture and construction industries? Or that they have to registered and licensed? Stan Jessen will navigate the wide world of drones by discussing their history, the different types of drones and their uses, various types and applications of aerial photography, and legal and safety issues involved.

Stan graduated from California Polytechnic State University with degrees in Aeronautical Engineering and Mathematics. After graduation he worked at Boeing on the 737 and 747 flight test programs but left to join the US Navy, where he spent 9 years as a Naval Aviator, flying TA4 and A7 jet aircraft and teaching instruments and tactics. He has over 2600 hours of flight time and holds FAA instrument and commercial ratings.   After leaving the Navy, Stan moved to Atlanta where, in April 2015, he formed North Georgia Drones, LLC. He is licensed by the FAA to conduct commercial drone operations and has logged 220+ hours of drone flight time, flying both manual and autonomous missions.  He is a member of AUVSI (Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International) and the AUVSI UAV Working Group. Stan lives in Cumming, GA with his wife, Linda, and they have two grown children.
